Hymenoptera
This order consists of ants, wasps, bees and sawflies. These insects often have thin, transparent wings and have chewing mouthparts, although some insects in this family have tongues. They also have compound, often large, eyes although some are blind. Hymenoptera also have a cycle of complete metamorphosis. There are over a hundred thousand insects that belong to this order and it is divided into 2 suborders:
